The 2013 Baby Boomer 50+ Expo is coming to Marshall County! This exciting event is for Baby Boomers and Seniors in Marshall County, and will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Helvering Center in Marysville from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Expo’s mission is to inform citizens 50 years and older about opportunities and services available to residents of Marshall County.
The Baby Boomer Expo will feature a wide variety of exhibitors and an exciting roster of guest speakers, including: Paul Shipp, Attorney, Kansas Legal Services, at 10:00 AM; Cindy Hermes, Health Care Consumer Ombudsman and Director of Public Outreach, Kansas Insurance Commission, at 11:00 AM; and Adrian Serene, Assistant Attorney General, Office of Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt, at 12:00 Noon.
The event will also offer tours of the Helvering Center, demonstrations, and giveaways. Light snacks will be served. Admission is FREE! The Expo will be an excellent opportunity for citizens to discover the wealth of entertainment, volunteerism, educational and health services available in our rural community.
Baby Boomer Expo 2013 is presented by Marshall County Agency on Aging, RSVP of Northeast Kansas, Marshall County Extension Service, Marshall County Health Department, Cambridge Place, and Community Memorial Healthcare.
