CMH South Plaza
The CMH South Plaza houses occupational, physical and speech therapy services, sleep lab, dialysis clinic, offices, a spacious conference room, staff training room, and housing for students/staff.
OT: Nichole Lower, ORT/L, and her staff work with people of all ages to gain the skills that are needed for independent and satisfying lives. CMH occupational therapy provides services for inpatients, outpatients, home health patients, and long term care residents.
PT: Dave Pieschl, Deb Baker, and Joe Whitesell, owners of Crist & Pieschl Physical Therapy (PT) and their staff are licensed and skilled in rehabilitation to help patients with back or neck pain, work or sports injuries, joint replacements, arthritis, fractures, stroke rehabilitations, dislocations, or post surgical conditions. Physical therapy staff use a variety of elements (modalities) such as hot/cold packs, diathermy, traction, electrical stimulation, whirlpool, massage, and more.
Speech: Jenna Rethman, Speech-Language Pathologist, provides treatment programs designed to help patients of all ages regain and increase their ability to communicate through speech.
Sleep Lab: Registered Polysomnographer Roxanne Woodside performs and scores sleep studies. Approximately 70 million Americans suffer from different types of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy and restless leg syndrome. Sleep studies are interpreted by Dr. Nanda Kumar and Dr. Steven Short, both CMH referral specialists.
Dialysis: Responding to the public need for a dialysis clinic, CMH, along with referral specialist Dr. Fadi Bedros, owner of My Kidney Center in Manhattan, KS, operates a six-station dialysis clinic, which opened in July 2013.
Offices: Information Technology (IT) has its new IT training room located in the South Plaza.
Conference Room: Our South Plaza Conference Room provides meeting space for hospital programs and services.
